Installation Instructions
for
AppStandard 6.0


Please follow these easy steps to download and install the software on your computer.

Step 1

Save the file AppStd60.exe to a folder on your computer by clicking the download button. This is an 11MB file so, if you do not have high-speed Internet access, do this before lunch...

Step 2

After the download has completed, close all open files and programs on your computer.


Step 3

Locate the saved file on your computer and double click it.  

Step 4

Press the 'OK' button to begin the installation process. Most users will accept the default settings.


Step 5 The software icon will be created at Start | FoxWiz Solutions | AppStandard


The first time that the software is opened (from the Start Menu under FoxWiz Solutions | AppStandard), you will be prompted to create the database shell. Using the dialog box that appears, select either the Data folder that was created under the application directory or, in the case of network installations, a folder that you create on your network*. Once the database has been created, the application is ready to use. The evaluation copy is fully functional but will restrict you to the creation of a single record. This restriction is removed once a license has been purchased. More information about configuring the software is contained in the Help file.

Note to current AppStandard Licensees:  Distribution files for the older Powersware releases are no longer maintained as they are obsolete with the latest operating systems. If you are downloading this version as an evaluation before deciding to upgrade, please ensure that you install the software in a folder other than where your current version was installed. Your current database will be shared by both versions of the software. Until such time as the upgrade fee has been paid, the evaluation copy of the software will limit you to the creation of a single record. If your database contains more than one record, you will not be able to create any additional records with the new version. You will, however, continue to have full editing capabilities of the existing records in the database.
